Cruise objectives


A grid of 18 coring stations was established in the eastern part of Aarhus Bay on the basis of a high resolution map of the depth of free gas produced in March 2005.

Gravity cores were sampled immediately after recovery for analyses of methane concentrations in 30-cm depth intervals. The resultant methane profiles will serve for calibration of the seismic information on the upper limits of gas saturation.
